This position requires a highly skilled professional with a deep understanding of cybersecurity protocols, regulatory standards, and threat mitigation strategies. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining robust security standards across the organization. This role involves developing and managing security solutions, overseeing identity and access management, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations such as HIPAA, HITRUST, and SOC. The Senior Analyst will act as a subject matter expert, guiding the organization through complex security challenges and fostering a culture of security awareness. The role also includes managing disaster recovery and business continuity plans, coordinating audits, and serving as a key liaison between technical teams and executive leadership to communicate security risks and mitigation strategies effectively.QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, along with at least five years of progressive experience in security, risk management, or IT. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CASP+, CRISC, or CISA are required to demonstrate expertise and commitment to the profession. Healthcare industry experience is highly desirable, providing an understanding of the unique security challenges faced in healthcare environments. The candidate should have a solid grasp of federal and state regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, HITRUST, and SOC compliance standards. Familiarity with threat detection frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, enterprise logging tools such as Splunk, and incident response procedures is essential. Additionally, experience with network security technologies (IDS/IPS, NGFW, NGAV), operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), and security tools (EDR/XDR, SIEMs, DLP, vulnerability scanners) is required. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to security are critical for success in this role.ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Cyber Security Analyst will be responsible for a broad range of security functions within University Health Careers. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing security policies and procedures to protect organizational data and infrastructure. The role involves managing identity and access controls, conducting quarterly audits, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. The analyst will oversee the organization’s disaster recovery and business continuity plans, coordinating testing and updates to ensure resilience against disruptions. They will serve as a thought leader and SME on federal and state information security standards, providing guidance and training to staff at all levels. The position requires monitoring and analyzing security alerts using SIEM tools, performing threat hunting, and responding to security incidents promptly. The analyst will also be responsible for vulnerability assessments, managing security tools, and ensuring that security controls are effectively integrated into IT operations.
