Data Analyst - Permanent

Full time / Permanent role On site / WFHSydney based. Free parkingOur client is looking for an Data Analyst ideally from the FMCG industry to join a growing team and growing business providing Reporting, Database and Business Intelligence capabilities.The Role:Delivering ongoing as well as new reporting needs for the business and maintaining database & business intelligence systems of high availability, reliability and quality.Responsibility for analysis and development of business intelligence outcomes , providing development, handover and support while maintaining high governance standards.Requirements:Mandatory :• 3+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related role.• Experience in a commercial environment such as FMCG, Finance, retail, manufacturing, or experience within an Analytics Organisation (Nielsen, Alteryx, Teradata)• Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SSIS, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).• Proficiency in SQL and Excel (advanced functions, Power Query, Power Automate)• Familiarity with scripting and automation tools for data management (e.g., PowerShell, Python).• Hands-on experience with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.• Strong data modelling and visualization skills.• Knowledge of data warehouses, ETL pipelines Desirable :Cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, Snowflake, Redshift) is advantageous.Consulting or IT Support background will be highly regarded.Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or R for data manipulation.
