Title: Data Analyst- Power BILocation: Johannesburg or PretoriaA Data Analyst with Power BI specializes in transforming raw data into actionable business insights by designing, developing, and deploying interactive dashboards. Key responsibilities include utilizing DAX, Power Query, and SQL to clean, model, and visualize complex datasets to support strategic decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesDashboard Development: Design and maintain interactive, user-friendly reports in Power BI to monitor performance and identify trends.Data Modeling & Transformation: Perform ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, cleanse, and structure data from various sources using Power Query and SQL.Advanced Analytics: Use DAX for complex calculations and data analysis to drive business insights.Collaboration & Reporting: Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, deliver ad-hoc reports, and present findings to technical and non-technical teams.Data Governance: Ensure data accuracy, security, and consistency across all visualizations.Required Skills & QualificationsTechnical Skills: Expert-level knowledge of Power BI (DAX, Power Query, Data Modeling), SQL, and Excel.Data Experience: Proficiency in working with large datasets, ETL processes, and database design (Relational/Multidimensional).Preferred Skills: Knowledge of Python/R, Azure Data Lake, or other Microsoft BI Stack tools (SSRS/SSAS).Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
