Through its subsidiaries and affiliates, they offer a diverse range of financial services, including commercial banking, leasing, securities, credit card, consumer finance and other services.They are looking for a Data Insights and Reporting Associate to join Data Analytics and Insights team on an initial 12 month contract. The Data Analytics and Insights Team provides the Specialised Product Department (SPD) team with data, analytic, system and process efficiency support, with a long pipeline of data and efficiency related projects to automate and streamline processes. You will be working Monday to Friday, standard office hours with the occasional out of hours requirement in line with business needs. The role is hybrid working being in the office 5 days in 10.Role SummaryAs part of an established Centre of Expertise within SPD, the primary objective with the support of the team, work on:improving internal processes; simplify and streamline reporting and processes to increase efficiency and productivity; automate processes and ensure consistency of data, data automation, data accuracy and sufficient controls / governance on data Working closely with the Team Head and working closely and supporting Data Analytics, responsibility for ensuring the pro-active and timely delivery of projects, responsible for ensuring data accuracy / integrity and that reporting is carried out in a timely manner in line with agreed policies & procedures with strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detailRequires ongoing / close interaction with key stakeholders, particularly SPD Management, Credit Department (CD), Vertical Office (VO), Data Management Office (DMO), Portfolio Strategy, Operations Planning Department (OPPD), Risk Management Department (RMD) and Information Technology & Security Department (ITSD) and overseas offices (e.g. SCAD, New York and Tokyo head office) from time to time to provide support and share / replicate best practices Responsibilities include Supporting on multiple data and efficiency related projects; Providing regular & ad hoc reporting / data requests to stakeholders including SPD Management, CD and RMD; Dealing with various ad hoc data, system and process efficiency related matters;Support the creation of a single source of truth for SPD and all data, reporting and analytic needs;Providing quality control and ensuring sufficient data governance controls are in place;Create and maintain system roadmaps and associated systems user documentation;Maintenance of data systems including adaption of configurable systems (including DealCloud, Portfolio Application) to accommodate changes to business requirement;Use of APIs and application of automation wherever possible;Building awareness and understanding of what other departments within the organisation are doing in regards to data and reporting, while establishing relationships with departments across the organisation;Interface with other data providers / system, including Portfolio Application, DealCloud and relevant member of the community of the organisations data professions;Sharing of Best Practice through collaboration across the Structured Finance Solutions (SFS) vertical;Compliance: with all regulatory and internal policies and procedures, regulations and guidelinesKnowledge Skills and ExperienceMust have strong IT and data analysis skillsAbility to analyse and interpret a high level of data sets from across the organisationAbility to work autonomously in a small team and identify value adding enhancements Strong organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple workstreams and adhere to deadlinesStrong communication skills both written and verbal to enable clear and concise written and verbal presentation of data, trends and project outcomesPro-active approach and ability to work as part of team both internally within SPD and with other parts of the Bank. Capable of building appropriate internal networksAttention to detail and accuracyStrong preference for degree level education but most importantly, candidate will be an expert in Excel and other programming packages, databases and modelling techniquesExpert in Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
