Data Engineer (Contract)

As Data Engineer, you will provide hands-on expertise as it relates to data management, analytics, and business intelligence. We work differently here; you will find continuous opportunities to learn, grow, and share knowledge within your team and the expert communities at Electric Mind all while delivering excellence.While working with teams in an Agile environment, you will be:Designing high quality data pipelines/architectures that are highly scalable and extensibleProviding guidance on data modeling, analysis, visualization, and implementation of data solutionsEstimating, tasking, and prototypingCollaborating with cross-functional team members on software features, design and implementationParticipating in the end-to-end delivery of data consulting projects, ensuring completion on time, on budget, and meeting or exceeding client expectationsInvestigating, learning and applying new technologies and processesClarifying requirements with team and client representatives'Must Have' Skills/Experience Snowflake, Databricks, or Apache Spark experienceDesign and implementation experience with Azure Cloud Data Services and/or AWS Cloud Data ServicesDesign and implementation experience with Master Data Management, especially customer and reference data for financial servicesProficiency in SQLIn-depth knowledge of data management, analytics, business intelligence, and related technologiesGrowth mindset and desire to learnBachelor’s Degree in: Data Science, Business Analytics or Computer Science (or equivalent education/experience)'Nice to Have' Skills/ExperiencePowerBI or Tableau or data visualization experienceTalend, Apache Airflow, AWS Glue, and Azure Data Factor experienceProficiency in Python or RExperience in data modeling or schema designExperience with Kafka or other data streaming toolsFinancial Services industry experienceSales, pre-sales, or consulting experienceExposure to and enthusiasm for Agile approaches Master’s Degree in: Data Science, Business Analytics or Computer Science (or equivalent education/experience)For more info on Electric Mind, check out our Careers Page and Instagram.Electric Mind is committed to diversity in the workplace.
