Database Developer (Oracle SQL/PLSQL)

Job Title: Oracle Developer Location: Surulere, Lagos Work Mode: Fully Onsite Salary Range: ₦400,000 – ₦500,000Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Oracle Developer to design, develop, and maintain robust database systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in PL/SQL programming, performance tuning, and database optimization to ensure high availability and reliability of applications.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and implement Oracle database solutions using PL/SQL (stored procedures, triggers, packages).Optimize SQL queries and perform database performance tuning.Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and relationships to ensure data integrity and efficiency.Collaborate with application developers to integrate databases with business applications.Manage database security, backups, and recovery processes.Troubleshoot database issues and ensure optimal performance.Support data migration, transformation, and integration activities when required.Document database designs, configurations, and procedures.Required Skills & Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Oracle database development.Strong proficiency in PL/SQL programming.Solid understanding of SQL optimization and performance tuning.Experience with Oracle Database versions (11g, 12c).Good knowledge of database normalization, indexing, and partitioning.Familiarity with Oracle Forms, Reports, or APEX (preferred but not mandatory).Exposure to ETL tools, data migration, and system integration (an advantage).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work efficiently in an agile, team-oriented environment.Education & Certifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Oracle SQL/PLSQL Developer Certification (OCA/OCP) is an added advantage.
