Job Description

The Deputy Head of Marketing will oversee and lead EMURGO's event planning, public relations, and communications functions, serving as the primary architect of the company's external narrative and brand visibility. This role is critical to advancing EMURGO's mission as a co-founding entity of Cardano, driving commercial adoption of blockchain technology, and positioning EMURGO as the preeminent leader in asset tokenization. The successful candidate will oversee sponsorships, high-profile speaking opportunities, manage and prepare the C-level for engagements, and ensure our messaging is impactful, and aligned with our strategic objectives across EMURGO’s diverse products and solutions stablecoins, wallets, decentralized exchange, governance, partnership announcements, and investments. As an operational leader, the Deputy Head will oversee the marketing budget and departmental resources, managing a team of events coordinators, and content and design team who serve as group resources supporting all EMURGO business units.Main responsibilities: People Management: Build, lead, and mentor world-class web3 marketers focused on growth. Foster cross-functional coordination between business units to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing. Thought Leadership: oversee authoritative content and op-eds that position EMURGO as a leader in the blockchain space, targeting industry publications and platforms.Event Sponsorships: Oversee all aspects of the C-level’s speaking commitments, including scheduling, logistics, and coordination with event organizers to ensure flawless execution.Preparation and Coaching: Develop tailored talking points, presentations, and Q&A materials for compelling public appearances.Content Development: Craft engaging and technically accurate content, including blog posts, whitepapers, and social media posts, to highlight EMURGO’s innovations in blockchain technology.Media and Influencer Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with blockchain-focused media, journalists, and influencers to enhance EMURGO’s visibility and secure earned media opportunities.Content Creation: Collaborate with marketing and content teams to produce high-quality press releases, thought leadership articles, and other PR materials that underscore EMURGO’s blockchain expertise.Cross-Business Unit Communication: Develop and execute PR strategies that effectively communicate milestones, partnerships, and innovations across EMURGO’s stablecoins, wallet, DEX, governance, and investment initiatives.Skill & Experience: Experience: Min 10 years of experience in senior marketing operations role, or a related field, with at least 3 years in either fintech, blockchain or technologyStrategic thinker and hands-on executor. You can zoom out to set vision and direction, but you also thrive in getting things done on the ground.Exceptional cross-functional collaborator. Your influence extends beyond your direct team.Strategic Planning: Ability to develop comprehensive marketing strategies, GTM plans, and growth initiatives aligned with business objectives.
