Join our Digital Service Delivery team as a Desktop Engineer and play a key role in shaping the way our people and customers experience technology.As a Desktop Engineer, you’ll provide expert technical support and guidance to our Digital Service Delivery team—driving business improvements, implementing desktop technologies, and ensuring seamless, secure, and efficient operations. Working under the direction of the Digital Service Delivery Leader, you’ll lead technical decision-making across End User Compute, provide thought leadership on enterprise desktop delivery, and champion automation to reduce operational load and enhance customer satisfaction.You will be responsible for -Lead and support End User Compute initiatives and solutions across the enterprise.Identify, design, and deploy automation and system software solutions to streamline support.Provide escalation and resolution for desktop incidents and problems.Maintain asset baselines and ensure compliance with cybersecurity and TasNetworks policies.Drive continuous improvement and innovation in customer experience and desktop technologies.About YouYou’re an organised, proactive problem-solver who thrives on delivering high-quality outcomes and improving how people work with technology.To Succeed, You’ll BringStrong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a customer-centric mindset.Flexibility to work outside business hours and travel across the state (driver’s licence required).Experience creating and updating Windows SOE configurations, device drivers and applications package in SCCM and Intune.Extensive knowledge of desktop hardware, drivers, Windows OS, PowerShell.Experience with configuration management (e.g. Group Policy) and application delivery technologies.Understanding of mobility and modern end-user compute trends.Experience in the utilities sector or similar IT environments (advantageous).What's on offerThis is a permanent full-time opportunity based out of Hobart, offering an attractive remuneration and benefits package.At TasNetworks we want to power a bright future for our people, our community and our customers.
