This is a senior leadership role accountable for the design, delivery, and continuous evolution of Dubai Holding's infrastructure services portfolio, spanning compute, storage, data centre, network, and Microsoft 365 environments. The role holds end-to-end ownership of infrastructure operations across the organisation, orchestrating the combined capabilities of internal teams, strategic third-party partners, and emerging technologies to deliver resilient, secure, and high-performing services at scale.A core contributor to the group-wide infrastructure strategy and technology roadmap, the Director plays an integral role in shaping and executing the direction of Dubai Holding's infrastructure function — ensuring all solutions and initiatives are grounded in sound architectural principles, aligned to security and audit requirements, and structured to deliver tangible business value.The Director is a change agent who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Partner with cross-functional teams and business verticals to design and deliver infrastructure that meets both current demands and future growth requirements.Take executive ownership of the availability, stability, recoverability, and performance of all infrastructure services across the organisation, ensuring they remain cost-optimised, fit for purpose, and aligned with agreed service levels.Oversee the full lifecycle management of infrastructure components, services, and resources — from planning and procurement through to decommissioning — operating within defined budgets, risk appetites, and compliance frameworks.Drive a proactive performance management culture across the function, ensuring continuous monitoring, analysis, and resolution of bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and scalability challenges before they impact the business.Champion rigorous standards for infrastructure documentation, ensuring all architecture diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures are accurate, current, and accessible across relevant teams.Develop and steward the infrastructure operations budget, balancing cost efficiency with operational excellence. Continuously identify and realise opportunities for financial optimisation without compromising service quality.Establish and enforce best practices for monitoring, incident response, high availability, and disaster recovery, ensuring the organisation is well-positioned to respond to and recover from any service disruption.Provide senior leadership oversight across all infrastructure-related programmes and projects, working closely with IT and business stakeholders to ensure timely, on-budget delivery and measurable outcomes.Own and evolve a forward-looking infrastructure technology roadmap, ensuring it is tightly aligned with the broader technology strategy and underpins the organisation's long-term business objectives.Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing infrastructure team. Set clear direction, provide meaningful performance feedback, and create pathways for professional growth and career development.Cultivate a collaborative, inclusive, and knowledge-sharing team culture that enables effective communication, continuous improvement, and collective ownership of outcomes.Serve as a key decision-maker in the evaluation and validation of new infrastructure solutions, ensuring all proposals align with the organisation's architecture roadmap, security posture, and strategic direction.Ensure that all infrastructure solutions adhere to rigorous security, compliance, and governance standards, embedding required architecture principles and design patterns from inception through to delivery.Act as the senior technical authority during major incidents, applying deep subject matter expertise to rapidly identify root cause, coordinate resolution, and minimise business impact.Build strong, collaborative relationships with Enterprise Architecture, Security, and Application functions, championing consistent best practices and ensuring infrastructure decisions are made with a whole-of-organisation perspective.Who we are looking for:Proven experience in Enterprise IT infrastructure management, with a minimum of 8 years in a leadership role.Education / Professional Certifications:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related fieldIndustry standard technical certificationsTechnical Competencies:Strong technical expertise in networking, server administration, storage, and cloud services.Solid foundation and knowledge ofNetwork architecture and technologiesServer and storage infrastructureCloud servicesSecurity and complianceData Centre ManagementMicrosoft and Office 365 ServicesAs much as we would be delighted to entertain all applicants, due to the high volumes of applications, only successful applicants will be contacted within 14 business days.This job description is not all inclusive.
