Backed by leading investors, including Sequoia Capital and Khosla Ventures, and already live in multiple states, this team is scaling rapidly and looking for a strategic Talent Acquisition leader to build their recruiting engine from the ground up.About the Role:This rapid-growth company are seeking a Director of Talent Acquisition who will own the full lifecycle of how they attract, engage and hire exceptional talent across technical and non-technical functions, as they double their headcount next year.Reporting to the VP of People, you will architect and execute the global talent strategy during a period of explosive growth. This is not a “plug-and-play” TA role; this incoming candidate will reinvent how recruiting works in an AI-native, mission-oriented organization. You’ll be strategic, operational and hands-on: designing forward-looking frameworks while driving real recruiting execution on a high-velocity scale.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and lead the end-to-end TA function across all critical areas (Engineering, Product, Data, Clinical & Ops, G&A).Design and operationalize an AI-enabled recruiting model - leveraging automation, sourcing innovation, data-driven screening and a best-in-class candidate experience.Collaborate with executives and functional leaders to define hiring needs, shape workforce planning, drive talent forecasting and influence organisational design.Hire, develop and scale a high-performing recruiting team; set ambitious goals, capacity plans and metrics to deliver exceptional outcomes.Create metrics, dashboards, feedback loops and continuous improvement frameworks to measure hiring quality, speed, diversity and candidate satisfaction.Lead employer branding, candidate experience and referral programmes to position the company as a top-tier employer for both technical and business talent.Build scalable recruiting systems, tools and processes that evolve as the company grows from hundreds to thousands of employees.About You:Proven track record of scaling recruiting functions during rapid expansion (specifically growing from ~100-200 to 500+ or more employees), within a VC-backed scale-upExperience building, coaching, developing and leading skilled recruitment teams within a VC-backed tech scale-up.Deep familiarity with modern recruiting technologies, ATS systems and an appetite to pioneer AI/automation in talent acquisition.Business-savvy, comfortable partnering with senior leadership, Finance/People Ops, and translating business strategy into hiring strategy.Exceptional leadership, team-building and coaching skills — able to inspire, develop and challenge a team to deliver under tight timelines.Analytical mindset, comfortable with data, metrics and experimentation to continuously optimise hiring outcomes.Passionate about mission: you’re motivated to build the future of caregiving, elevate the role of caregivers, and create meaningful impact at scale.Next Steps:We recognise how challenging this current job market is for candidates, and Hawkwood are therefore striving to provide the best candidate experience we can.If you are interested in this opportunity, we kindly request that you apply via this LinkedIn advert, as opposed to sending us an email or LinkedIn direct message.
