Social Ad Designer position summaryThe Social Ad Designer will play a key role within PlusUp’s creative production team, designing performance-driven ad creative that stops thumbs and drives measurable results. This role blends visual storytelling, motion design, and collaboration to produce ads that connect with audiences and convert. It’s ideal for a hands-on designer who thrives on testing new ideas, moving fast, and bringing data-informed creativity to life.  Core responsibilities include:Ad Design & Creative DevelopmentTranslate client goals and audience insights into ad concepts that capture attention and drive action across paid social channels.Own the creative briefing process, distilling client goals, insights, and campaign objectives into clear, actionable briefs that guide internal and external content creation.Design and animate short-form video, motion, and static assets optimized for Meta, TikTok, and YouTube.Develop layouts, visual systems, and creative templates that streamline testing and iteration.Partner with Media Strategists to align creative with campaign objectives, messaging, and performance data.Production & ExecutionOwn the end-to-end ad creation process — from concept to final delivery.Build multiple creative variations (visuals, copy overlays, hooks, CTAs) for A/B testing.Collaborate with Brand Content Creators, editors, and freelancers to refine and deliver assets on time.Ensure all creative outputs meet platform specs, accessibility standards, and both PlusUp and client brand guidelines.Performance & OptimizationAnalyze creative performance reports to identify which visuals, edits, and messages drive results.Recommend creative refreshes, visual trends, and testing approaches to improve campaign results.Apply a “test, learn, optimize” mindset to every campaign.Maintain organized creative files, versioning, and asset libraries to enable quick iteration.Collaboration & GrowthPartner cross-functionally with Strategy, Media, and Brand teams to ensure cohesive, insight-driven campaigns.Stay current on platform trends, design techniques, and social ad best practices.Contribute proactive ideas that strengthen PlusUp’s creative process and drive innovation.Support leadership in evolving PlusUp’s ad creative standards as the team scales.Qualifications2-4 years of design experience within an advertising, digital, or performance marketing environment.Strong understanding of paid social creative, particularly Meta, TikTok, and YouTube.Familiarity with UGC and influencer-style creative.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) and/or Figma.Experience editing short-form video and motion graphics for social media.Strong eye for composition, typography, and color, with a passion for performance-driven design.Comfortable working independently and iterating quickly based on feedback and performance data.Basic understanding of media metrics (CTR, CPA, ROAS) and how design impacts performance.Organized, collaborative, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple creative projects simultaneously.
