With over two decades of trusted service, we are committed to delivering excellence, reliability, and efficiency in every aspect of our operations.Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounting & Finance Officer to join our finance department. The ideal candidate will oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with Ethiopian tax and accounting standards, and support management with strategic financial planning.Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws, including VAT, withholding, and income tax filings.Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics.Oversee payroll preparation and ensure accurate salary disbursement and statutory deductions.Maintain up-to-date financial records and documentation.Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.Advise management on cost control, cash flow management, and financial strategies.Liaise with banks, auditors, suppliers, and government agencies as needed.Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff (if applicable).Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s or ACCA certification is an advantage).Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in accounting and finance, preferably in logistics, HR, or service sectors.Technical Skills:Proficient in Peachtree/Sage, QuickBooks, or other accounting software.Strong command of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.In-depth knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and financial regulations.Soft Skills:Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.High level of integrity and professional ethics.
