As a Heavy Duty Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating and maneuvering large commercial vehicles while ensuring timely delivery of goods and adhering to all traffic regulations.Operate and navigate heavy-duty vehicles safely and efficiently through Dubai's road networkPerform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthinessLoad and unload cargo according to specified procedures and safety guidelinesMaintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and any incidents or delaysAdhere to all local and international traffic laws and regulationsCommunicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team membersPlan optimal routes using GPS navigation systems and local knowledgeRepresent the company professionally when interacting with clients and the publicReport any vehicle maintenance issues or safety concerns promptlyAssist in basic vehicle maintenance tasks when necessaryAdapt to changing weather conditions and traffic patterns to ensure on-time deliveriesMaintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and exteriorQualificationsValid heavy-duty vehicle driver's licenseMinimum 5 years of experience in operating heavy-duty vehiclesClean driving record with no major traffic violationsThorough knowledge of traffic laws and regulations, especially in DubaiProficiency in using GPS navigation systems and route planning toolsExcellent communication and customer service skillsPhysical ability to perform tasks associated with driving heavy-duty vehicles, including loading and unloading when requiredFamiliarity with Dubai's road network and traffic patternsStrong time management skills and ability to work flexible hoursAttention to detail in maintaining vehicle logs and documentationBasic mechanical knowledge for performing routine vehicle inspections and minor maintenanceAbility to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situationsFluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plusCommitment to safety protocols and proceduresAdaptability to changing schedules and route assignmentsStrong problem-solving skills for handling unexpected situations on the road
