The service is steeped with individuality and beautiful yard spaces.BenefitsAward and agreed rates dependent on candidates experience and qualifications.Supportive and flexible working environmentRotating fortnightly rostersEmployee Access ProgramProfessional development and career growth opportunitiesCommunity network opportunitiesFull time employment opportunities with optional monthly rostered day offKey ResponsibilitiesAssist in the preparation of materials and equipment to support children’s education, play, and recreational activities.Prepare, implement, and lead engaging activities that promote learning, creativity, and holistic development.Support children’s social and emotional growth through positive behaviour guidance and role modelling.Supervise and interact with children during daily routines, ensuring safety, inclusion, and wellbeing at all times.Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety, including assisting children with personal care routines in line with service policies.Observe, document, and evaluate children’s learning and development, contributing to individual learning plans and curriculum reflections.Uphold Child Safe Standards, ensuring the environment and practices promote the safety, rights, and wellbeing of every child.Collaborate with educators and families to ensure consistent, responsive, and high-quality care and education.Skills and experienceAvailable for full-time work between 6:30am and 6:30pmMinimum 1 years of experience in an Early Childhood Education and Care environment (2 years or more preferred)Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (completed)Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (preferred but not essential)Current Employee Working with Children CheckCurrent Level 2 First Aid, including Asthma and Anaphylaxis managementMandatory Reporting and Child Protection Training (completed)Child Safety Training (completed)Food Safety Certification (current)Food Allergy Awareness Certification (current)Salary range: $76,000 – $85,000 per annum (based on qualifications and experience)Smart Start Early Learning & Development Centre and The Grove Children’s Centre are committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all children.All applicants are required to undergo reference checks, provide a current Working with Children Check, and demonstrate compliance with the Child Safe Standards and National Quality Framework.We are an equal opportunity employer and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, cultures, and abilities.
