About The RoleThe Electrical Services Electrical Engineer will play a critical role in enhancing the operational success of the Whyalla Steelworks through planning and technical support within the Electrical Services department.This position will focus on electrical asset management for our Power and Services operations, including the HV Network control system, contributing to improved equipment availability and production performance.The role will also provide technical support to site teams to prevent and recover from equipment and control system faults.Employee BenefitsLive, Work and Play in one locationOnsite ParkingCareer developmentKey ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the Maintenance Services Superintendent to design and deliver an asset and maintenance strategy aligned with the Whyalla steelworks quality and capacity planElectrical Design engineering and project implementation workFacilitate root cause analysis (RCA) for events which significantly impact electrical asset reliability Provide technical support for tradespeople and contractors doing both corrective and preventative maintenanceMonitor safety behaviour on site and promote safe practices that minimize risk to teams, contractors, and the environment.Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, contractors and Electrical Services team to agree on requirements and proactively resolve performance, scope, schedule, and resource issues.Domestic Relocation included for those residing outside of Whyalla, which includes:Uplift of goods and relocation allowance (for individuals and immediate family)Travel and temporary accommodation (up to 4 weeks) DIDO Option Available (for Port Augusta, Quorn or Cowell residents)About YouWe’re seeking motivated individuals who are ready to contribute to high-performing teams. If you’re safety-conscious and reliable, we want to hear from you.Ideal Candidates Will BringApplicants must hold, at minimum, an Associate Degree in Electrical EngineeringProven experience in Industrial Power and Services.Candidates with high-voltage experience will be highly regardedExperience with CMMS & ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Dynamics 365, Maximo, EPIX).Experience with Honeywell DCS systemsKnowledge of Rockwell and Siemens drive systems.Experience with Citect SCADA platformsProficiency in AutoCAD design software.Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a wide variety of peopleAbout UsOneSteel Manufacturing is proud to operate one of Australia’s most critical mining and steel manufacturing businesses.
