Chevron’s Shale & Tight Business is accepting online applications for the position of Electrician Apprentice located in Midland/Odessa, TX, through March 31, 2026, at 11:59 PM (Central Standard Time).The Electrician Apprenticeship is designed to build technical skills in the electrical and Lineman discipline and gain experience in field operations. As part of the program, apprentices will assist in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical power distribution systems and related equipment. This role supports safe and reliable operation of facilities and field assets by performing work on overhead and underground electrical systems, substations, and associated electrical infrastructure in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and safety procedures.Through a combination of structured training and immersive on-the-job learning, Apprentices are introduced to the complexity and criticality of work management, maintenance execution, and equipment servicing/repair. The position provides direct exposure to the Chevron Way Values and the strong safety culture that defines the Shale & Tight Business.Apprentices will work closely with a dedicated mentor, complete two assignments across different operational areas to develop a broad understanding of how teams and functions work together to safely deliver production and minimize downtime, and will also participate in computer-based and classroom training.This is a temporary 6‑month field-based position. Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent Applicants must meet at least one of the following: Completed an Electrician or Lineman apprenticeship program, OR have equivalent education or military training. Additionally, a minimum GPA of 2.5 in core classes is required, and transcripts or proof of completion of an Electrician or Lineman apprenticeship program must be uploaded to the applicant’s online profile Must have a valid Driver's License Ability and willingness to work day and night shift work, weekends, and holidays based on the assigned work schedule. Live within 50 miles of the work location or be willing to relocate within 50 miles of the work location for the duration of the apprenticeship This is a Safety Sensitive Position. Candidates must demonstrate personal commitment to Incident and Injury Free Operations with a proven record in Safety and Reliability Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience with reliability, safety, and/or environmental process-related issues. Previous construction, electrical, utility, or industrial experience Basic knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and an aptitude for learning new software applications. Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with a diverse team of coworkers, contractors, and internal and external customers. Relocation OptionsRelocation benefits will not be considered for this position.International ConsiderationsInternational assignments will not be considered.IMPORTANT NOTEAs part of the application process, you will be required to take an assessment that measures aptitude and work styles.
