Samsung C&T has long been active in the green energy business and continues to explore additional innovative renewable energy solutions.We are now open to your expression of interest in the Senior Safety Advisor role based in the Gippsland region of Greater Melbourne.Experience and roleWe require a minimum of 8 years experience on large scale infrastructure with experience on site.Assist in monitoring (ongoing) as subcontractors commence (upward reporting to Project Safety Manager)Communicate HSE requirements to subcontractor’s onsiteReview Subcontractor HSE Interview Questionnaires and verify the capability of the subcontractor to deliver the required work task to agreed HSE standardsReport any key issues to project leadership team and regional HSE managementAssist in identification of key areas and develop HSE training needs analysis (safety and L&D supporters)Assist/carry out monitoring of current competencies and support ongoing development needs.Deliver training throughout project (where client allows)Assist in incident investigations and report to appropriate personnelAssist in site communication.Prepare project or workplace HSE inductions and prepare, conduct and/or coordinate HSE training programsRegularly review project HSE systems and plans against activity requirementsTrack progress against role & responsibility profiles and report on activities to project leadership teamEnter and extract data from incident management systemQualificationsDiploma Safety in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.,Cert IV in Environmental Management,Bachelor degree in Safety, Quality, Environment, Project Management or other associated disciplines,Safety Lead Auditor QualificationSamsung C&T Australia is committed to building diverse and inclusive teams.
