Key ResponsibilitiesCost Estimation - Prepare detailed cost estimates for joinery furniture and workstation projects, including materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costsBlueprint Analysis - Analyse blueprints, plans and other documentation to prepare time, costs, materials and labour estimatesConsultation - Consult with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issuesCost Effectiveness assessments - Assess the cost effectiveness of products, projects, tracking actual cost relative to bids as the project developsCollaboration - Work closely with architects, builders, suppliers, procurement, other estimators and sales teamsDocumentation - Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractor, and use software to calculate estimates and evaluate a projects financial feasibilityThe Ideal Candidate – will have the following skills although does not necessarily have to come from a traditional career path of an Estimator. You may be a Joiner or Cabinet Maker with extensive pricing experience looking for an opportunity to come off the tools and into an office function. Ability to read, interpret, and perform take-offs from architectural and joinery drawings to accurately quantify materials and labourStrong construction knowledge, including joinery techniques, woodworking processes, industry standards, and building regulationsPrior experience as an Estimator, Drafts person, Quantity Surveyor or Contracts Admin estimating for bespoke items, fitted furniture, and complex joinery components produced in workshops Experience with Excel and Estimating toolsExcellent written and verbal communicationHigh attention to detail and advanced analytical skills for calculating costs, assessing project risks, and identifying potential issuesBenefitsJoin a respected company with a strong track record in design and manufacturingWork in a high energy and collaborative environment2pm finish on a Friday!Parking on SiteHow to Apply: Please apply by submitting your resume (in Word format) via the "Apply Now" tab to be considered for the role.
