Our vision is to expand our business founded on a culture of enjoyment, teamwork, professionalism, integrity, and quality of service.Estimator – Stoke-on-TrentThe Role The Estimator is responsible for ensuring that the estimated cost of a project is prepared accurately and consistently, considering the methods of construction and all circumstances which may affect the execution of the work on a particular project.Key Responsibilities EstimatingImplementation of robust estimating systems, including hardware and software as appropriate.Ensure that all tender documentation, client correspondence etc., is saved on the server and distributed to other team members as necessary.Issue sub-contract enquiries, including scope of works and attendance schedules (where applicable).Issue materials enquiriesScheduling of Quantities, for distribution, as required.Undertake checks in relation to measures and/or bill descriptions.Chase tender returns and update enquiry scheduleRaise tender queries/requests for information, as necessary.Maintain details of clarifications developed during the tendering process, and other general notes on file.Incorporate late changes and tender amendments.Assist with the development of tender risk and opportunity assessment.Assist in the production of a value engineering schedule.Analyse tender returns and complete sub-contractor analysis schedule for review.Undertake pre submission tender review with management team.Complete all client pricing documents for submission with the Form of Tender, as required.Experience & Skills A minimum of 5 years working within the construction industry within a quantity surveying, buying, or estimating role.An ability to challenge Scheme designs to produce Value Engineering savings.Technically CompetentMust be a team player, have a flexible approach, and the ability to liaise with all parties in a timely and professional manner.Predominantly based in the Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent Office, although flexible working arrangements maybe considered.What We OfferCompetitive salary and company vehicle dependent upon experience.Ability to secure Professional membership and continued educational support and training.Opportunity to develop within a relatively small group of professionals, and to become a significant part of the company’s senior management team.
