We are looking for a Technical Director, Financial Services to be our senior-most technical authority and strategic leader for the FS sector. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will own the technical vision and strategy that helps our financial services clients solve their most complex, high-stakes challenges.We look for people who embody:Innovation to solve the hardest problems.‍Accountability for every result.‍Integrity always.About The RoleAs the Technical Director for Financial Services, you will be the executive-level technical partner for our key clients in banking, insurance, and FinTech. Core responsibilities include:Setting the technical strategy for our Financial Services portfolio, guiding clients on large-scale transformation in areas like core systems modernization, secure data/AI, and regulatory techActing as the senior technical advisor during high-stakes sales pursuits, partnering with the sales team to design innovative, compliant, and deliverable solutionsLeading and mentoring a community of senior architects, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation specific to the FS industryBuilding and maintaining C-suite relationships with client CTOs, CIOs, and Heads of Engineering, acting as their trusted advisorDriving the Qodea innovation agenda within the FS sector, ensuring our teams are operating at the frontier of technology to solve problems that "don't even have answers yet."This role is designed for impact, and we believe our best work happens when we connect. While we operate a flexible model, we expect you to spend time on site (at our offices or a client location) for collaboration sessions, customer meetings, and internal workshops. Therefore this is a hybrid role where you are required to be onsite (office / client site) for 3 days of the week.RequirementsWhat Success Looks LikeWe are looking for someone with the following essential skills and experience:Demonstrable experience in the Financial Services sector, with a deep understanding of its unique technical, security, and regulatory challengesExtensive experience operating as a senior technical authority (e.g., Principal Architect, Director) on large-scale, complex technology programsProven track record of designing and delivering transformative, secure, and compliant solutions in areas such as core banking, payments, risk management, or secure cloud adoptionDemonstrable experience in C-suite advisory, acting as a trusted technical partner to CTOs, CIOs, and senior business leadersBenefitsWe believe in supporting our team members both professionally and personally.
