Reference: Post 208977TextWe areThe European Union (EU) is an economic and political partnership between 27 European countries. It plays an important role in international affairs through diplomacy, trade, development aid and working with global organizations. Abroad, the EU is represented through more than 140 diplomatic representations, known also as EU Delegations, which have a similar function to those of an embassy.

The EU Delegation to Myanmar works in close coordination with the Embassies of the 27 EU Member States. We are a fully-fledged diplomatic mission and represent the interests of the European Union in Myanmar. We offerThe post of Project Assistant (Local Agent Group 2) in the Delegation’s Cooperation Section. The new colleague will undertake tasks responding to the continuously changing needs of the Delegation. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Cooperation Section, providing support, expertise and assistance in Cooperation.

Following Main Tasks And Duties Are Currently RequiredAid information management (keeping track and update overview of financing decisions, agreements, contracts, addenda, closures, payments, other);Assist section management for annual reporting and budget forecasting;Be the focal point for monitoring and evaluation related software systems;Assist in preparing monitoring and evaluation plans as well as external monitoring and evaluation visits;Assist the section in implementation of communication activities;Assist the section in engaging with Civil Society;Assist with preparing and ensuring follow up of coordination meetings (incl.

EU Development counsellors meetings and field trips, close cooperation with external consultants);Assist in preparing events such as high level meetings, HQ missions, field visits;Ensure effective communication with Cooperation stakeholders;Support as needed the secretariat;Assist the Head of Cooperation in any other relevant task to be determined. The job will be performed in a multicultural environment, based in Yangon, with a working time of 37. 5 hours per week. The team consists of 17 people and there may be occasional atypical working hours.

The base salary will depend on relevant and verified employment experience, typically starting from EUR 1727 up to EUR 3039. There is a competitive benefits package, subject to certain conditions, including personal leave days and public holidays, health insurances and a retirement savings plan. In the event of recruitment from outside the organisation, the successful applicant would have an initial two-year fixed-term contract, with possibility of renewal. The expected start date will be 01 December 2025. Minimum RequirementsPost-secondary degree; Minimum of 5 years of experience working for an international organisation (Embassy, UN agency, international NGO, etc.
