Position: Legal SupervisorIndustry: Internet Service Provider (ISP)Location: 33 Pyay Road, 8 mile, Mayangone, Yangon, Myanmar. Reports To: General Counsel Job Summary: The Legal Supervisor will assist the Senior Legal Manager in overseeing all legal matters related to the ISP’s operations, ensuring compliance with telecommunications laws, data protection regulations, and other relevant legislation. This role will provide strategic legal advice, manage contracts, and mitigate risks to support the company’s growth and operational efficiency. The Legal Supervisor must be a quick learner with strong adaptability and flexibility. Key Responsibilities:
Provide legal guidance on regulatory compliance, including telecommunications, data privacy, sanctions, and cybersecurity laws. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with vendors, partners, and customers, including vendor agreements, service level agreements (SLAs), customer agreements, and other ISP-related contracts. Manage litigation, disputes, and legal risks associated with ISP operations. Advise on intellectual property matters, including trademarks and patents. Ensure compliance with local, national, and international laws governing ISPs. Oversee the contract lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, and terminations. Resolve disputes arising from contractual obligations. Develop standardized contract templates and clauses.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop policies and procedures that align with legal requirements. Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the ISP industry and advise on necessary actions. Provide legal advise on commercial legal matters, including partnerships and joint ventures. Train staff on legal and compliance matters and manage disputes and investigations related to regulatory compliance. The Legal Supervisor will report to the Senior Legal Manager. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); Master’s degree or equivalent preferred. Must possess a valid lawyer’s license.
Minimum of 3-5 years of legal experience, preferably in the telecommunications or ISP industry. Strong knowledge of telecommunications law, data protection, and contract law. Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
