Position Summary JOB DESCRIPTION AUIB is seeking a dynamic and experienced Event & Protocol Coordinator to drive its mission of Inspiring Leaders on a Global Level. In this pivotal role, the Event & Protocol Coordinator will work closely with AUIB stakeholders to deliver an outstanding event experience that actively engages both the internal and external community. Whether you’re actively seeking a new challenge or passively considering your next step, AUIB offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain the university's protocol manual and ensure its application.Plan and coordinate VIP visits, including making arrangements for transportation, accommodations, and other logistics.Organize and execute ceremonial and special events, such as convocations, ribbon-cuttings, and academic ceremonies.Manage the process of official gifts, including their procurement, storage, and presentation.Ensure that all events and activities are in accordance with the university's protocols, policies, and guidelines.Provide support to the department in the planning and execution of official events and visits.Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of events and activities.Ideal Candidate ProfileExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software/tools.Creativity and attention to detail with a strong sense of branding and presentation.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by event schedules.Education And ExperienceRequired Education: Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.Years of Relevant Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in event planning, preferably in higher education or corporate settings.Specific Skills or Expertise: Fluent in Arabic and English.Additional Certifications: Strong organizational, project management, and multitasking skills.About UsWhy AUIB?Diversity and Inclusivity: At AUIB, we champion diversity and inclusivity in every aspect of campus life.
