ABOUT OUR DEPARTMENT / TEAM The sales and marketing team is the external representation of the hotel, serving as a bridge between the potential clients and the operations. The ultimate goal is to convert the potential into revenue for the entire property. Sales and marketing is made of four areas working closely together: communications, sales (general), event sales and room reservations. The team is led by the director of sales and marketing.THE IMPACT OF THIS ROLEGrows revenue in all areas of the hotel, leveraging on the function space and ensures continued employment of operations team.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Sales & Business Development Develop and maintain relationships with top corporate, MICE, social, and wedding clients. Actively prospect new accounts (local and international) and maintain detailed client records. Participate in sales blitzes, trade shows, and client engagement activities. Analyze market trends, competitors, and client needs to adjust sales strategies. Ensure the hotel remains the preferred venue for events and functions. 2. Meetings & Reporting Attend regular sales, BEO, and departmental meetings. Meet defined weekly activity goals (prospect calls, site inspections, entertainments). Submit weekly call plans, monthly reports, and maintain accurate data in Sales Force. 3. Administration & Documentation Respond to client inquiries promptly (within 6 hours for local, 24 hours for overseas). Maintain detailed and accurate event documentation, including BEOs and change logs. Ensure all information in Sales Force is current and precise. Assist with the annual business plan and administrative reporting. 4. Coordination & Team Leadership Support and guide Assistant Managers, Executives, and Coordinators. Ensure effective communication and collaboration with Events, Sales, and Operations teams. Oversee team training, performance feedback, and adherence to standards. Ensure seamless event handovers and execution with internal departments. 5. Client & Event Management Conduct site inspections, negotiate rates, and manage event blocks. Handle client issues professionally to ensure a hassle-free experience. Maintain high-quality client communication and documentation. Work closely with clients on event recommendations, promotions, and logistics. 6. Other Duties Attend hotel-hosted functions and participate in marketing initiatives. Uphold professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality at all times. Maintain cleanliness, grooming standards, and workplace discipline. Perform other tasks assigned by the Director of Sales. CRITICAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSReading, writing and oral proficiency in English. Knowledge in performing the job task assigned to a Senior Events Manager. Excellent organization, time management, and leadership skills.Proficient in Sales Force and standard computer applications.Willing to work a flexible schedule to accomplish all responsibilities and tasks.High level of professional integrity and and be able to work in prudent and organized manner.
