Executive Officer (contract role - up to 10 hours per week)The Museum of Underwater Art (MOUA) is a globally significant project that combines art, science, culture, education and tourism in an underwater art Museum and sculptural installations at John Brewer Reef and through the Ocean Siren sculpture on the Strand. MOUA is a not-for-profit company, with a volunteer board of Directors ( About MOUA / MOUA / Museum of Underwater Art ) and an ongoing commercial arrangement with the principal artist, project managers, regional tourism organisation, regulatory consultants and finance and accounting support. MOUA is seeking expressions of interest for an Executive Officer role with a passion to make a difference to the North Queensland region.MOUA is seeking a suitably qualified and/or experienced individual based in Townsville, with a diversity of professional skills and experience able to make a commitment. MOUA’s preference is to contract an individual/partnership or small business to undertake this role –Essential· Resident of Townsville· Relationship management skills· Website management skills· Administrative skills Highly Desirable· Knowledge the Great Barrier Reef and snorkelling/ diving· Registered Diver, able to assist with MOUA’s underwater snorkelling, dive programs and maintenance· Philanthropic experience and connections· Working with Indigenous communities’ experience Key responsibilities· Working with MOUA Directors to create and progress MOUA development plans· Identify market opportunities through meetings, networking and other channels· Identify, lead and develop grant funding applications and acquittals· Liaise with tourism and dive operators to manage the MOUA assets and income streams, experience· Manage MOUA’s online presence and communications and press channels, including website, social media and customer/stakeholder interactions.· Led and develop MOUA’s Partnerships and Membership program· Board reporting  Remuneration Guide$400 - $1000 per week depending on number of hours workedRecommended weekly hours 6-10 hours per weekPlus free snorkelling or scuba diving trips out to MOUA on John Brewer Reef every monthRecommended onboard training with CTO’s monthly Please submit your Expression of Interest to Liana Heath, liana@moua.com.au and include:· A covering letter demonstrating the range of skills you are able to offer to support the Board and reason for applying.· A Resume; and· Capacity to provide 6-10 hours per week (flexible arrangement available)· First nations candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Expression of Interests close on Friday 14th November 2025. If you would like more information, or to discuss this opportunity, please contact Paul Victory on paul@moua.com.auFor more information see www.moua.com.au
