Join the Student Support and Engagement team in Metropolitan North as a Senior Guidance Officer, where you'll work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality guidance and counselling services that respond to the diverse needs of students. Find out more about working with us .About The RoleAs a Senior Guidance Officer within the Student Support and Engagement team in Metropolitan North, you will provide expert guidance and counselling services to support students with complex educational, social, and emotional needs. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team—including Senior Therapists, AVTs, Senior Social Workers, and other professionals—to lead and deliver coordinated, student-centred support across schools.You will lead collaborative responses with the Student Support and Engagement team and school teams, applying your expertise to guide inclusive practices, trauma-informed approaches, and complex case management. Through strong partnerships with families, school staff, and external agencies, you will help shape effective strategies that support student wellbeing and engagement. The role is based at either the Nundah or North Lakes office, with flexible work arrangements available to support regional travel and collaboration.Responsibilities include, but not limited to;Collaborate with school teams and regional staff to support complex case management and inclusive education practices.Lead multi-disciplinary and multi-agency networks to coordinate holistic responses to student needs.Contribute to professional learning and mentoring to build school and team capability in multi-disciplinary ways of working, inclusive and trauma-informed practices.About YouYou are a compassionate and skilled professional who thrives in collaborative environments.
