It requires a strategic mindset, strong communication capability, and the confidence to operate across senior leadership and external stakeholder environments.The RoleThe Executive Support & Communications Specialist exists to:Increase the leverage and effectiveness of the CEOEnsure structured prioritisation and disciplined follow-throughTranslate leadership intent into compelling, aligned communicationStrengthen brand credibility and stakeholder trustYou will operate at the intersection of executive coordination, communication strategy, and leadership enablement.Key Responsibility AreasExecutive Effectiveness & GatekeepingProactively manage the CEO’s calendar, priorities, and accessAct as a structured gatekeeper, ensuring disciplined time allocationPrepare briefing packs and ensure executive readiness for all engagementsMaintain strict confidentiality and discretionEnsure follow-through on CEO commitments and actionsLeadership Narrative & MessagingShape and deliver a clear, credible, and consistent CEO voiceTranslate strategy, change priorities, and cultural direction into communication that drives alignmentDraft and refine speeches, presentations, and talking pointsManage and enhance CEO LinkedIn presence and digital thought leadershipInternal Alignment & CommunicationDrive structured internal communication aligned to leadership messagingEnsure clarity and consistency across engagement channelsStrengthen organisational alignment through well-framed updates and announcementsExternal Visibility & Brand TrustSupport CEO visibility across forums, events, media engagements, and stakeholder interactionsCoordinate messaging with external communication partners where applicableEnsure all engagements are supported by accurate, relevant, and high-quality contentContent Research & PreparationConduct research to support speeches and strategic engagementsDevelop briefing notes and insight summariesEnsure messaging is timely, relevant, and aligned to broader business objectivesAbout YouYou are confident, socially agile, and emotionally intelligent.You are comfortable operating in executive, public, and informal settings, able to read the room and adjust your tone and message accordingly.You bring presence, polish, and sound judgement.You are:Highly organised and structuredDetail-oriented and proactiveCalm under pressureTrusted with sensitive informationCurious and well-informedComfortable representing leadership with credibilityYou anticipate needs before they arise and take pride in ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.Required Experience3–7 years’ experience supporting senior leaders in executive support, communications, or related rolesStrong exposure to content creation, digital communication, and social media managementExperience supporting events, leadership communication initiatives, or PR engagementsProven ability to balance executive coordination with communication deliveryKnowledge & CapabilityExecutive support best practices (calendar, inbox, access management)Leadership communication and executive messaging principlesInternal and external communication platforms and engagement channelsDigital communication and LinkedIn content managementSpeechwriting, briefing preparation, and executive protocolDigital productivity tools (Outlook, Google Workspace, collaboration platforms)What Will Make You Stand OutDegree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related fieldStrong executive-level writing capability with evidence of published or distributed contentProven ability to create compelling communication across digital and live platformsExperience coordinating media, PR, or external communication partnersStrong research and insight development capabilityComfort coordinating multiple stakeholders and agencies to deliver high-quality outputsHigh level of discretion and emotional maturity
