SummaryThe Facilities Engineer is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of facilities and services. The candidates will be responsible for supporting the ongoing maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency of company facilities. This role ensures that all building systems function effectively and comply with health, safety, and environmental standards. The engineer works closely with internal teams and external vendors to manage repairs, preventive maintenance, and facility improvements, contributing to a productive and well-maintained work environment.ResponsibilitiesMonitor daily operations of facilities across residential or commercial properties.Supervise service contracts (cleaning, security, maintenance) and ensure vendor compliance with required standards.Review daily technician reports and follow up on the quality of completed work.Manage tenant complaints and service requests related to facilities, providing prompt engineering solutions.Prepare operational and maintenance performance reports with recommendations for improvement.Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and occupational safety standards.Support the implementation of facility improvement projects or expansions.Contribute to a safe, clean, and efficient work environment by maintaining facilities standards.Submit regular reports to management on facility conditions, operational issues, and improvement recommendations.Read and interpret plumbing/MEP blueprints to ensure maintenance and new installations are executed according to technical specifications.Coordinate with health, safety, and security teams to ensure readiness of emergency systems such as fire exits, alarms, and suppression systems.Contribute to the preparation of the annual facilities budget and operational needs.Review maintenance and repair quotations and assist in selecting the most suitable vendors.Qualifications & RequirementsMinimum of 5 years of proven experience in facility or maintenance management.Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.Professional certification is a plus.Good knowledge of building systems and maintenance fundamentals.Fluent in English (spoken and written).SkillsStrong team collaboration abilities.Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills.Ability to manage daily operations efficiently.Strong vendor and contractor management skills.Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.Strong organizational and reporting skills.
