Based in East Kilbride, we play a vital role in the global semiconductor industry, supplying key components used in the production of silicon chips and sensors found in everyday technology—from smartphones to medical devices.As the sector continues to thrive and expand, we are looking for a proactive, hands-on Facilities & Maintenance Engineer to help keep our operations running safely, efficiently, and at peak performance.About the Role:In this position, you will be responsible for the maintenance and reliability of our site equipment and services. Your work will directly contribute to productivity, safety and operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Prioritise and execute breakdown, corrective and preventive maintenanceConduct routine inspections to identify and resolve issues promptlyTroubleshoot mechanical and electrical systemsCoordinate with internal teams and external contractorsMaintain accurate maintenance records and documentation libraryEscalate critical breakdowns and follow HSE proceduresSupport continuous improvement initiatives across the plantThis list is not exhaustive, and the post holder will be expected to undertake duties as specified by their manager.What We're Looking For: Qualification in an electrical or mechanical disciplineExperience in electrical systems, plumbing, building services and repairStrong technical problem-solving and fault-finding abilityFlexibility to adapt to business requirementsExcellent communication skills and a positive, self-motivated attitude18th Edition qualification desirable (not essential)Why Join Quartztec?Working with us means more than just a job — it’s a chance to join a stable, future-focused company in a rapidly growing industry.
