Equifind have partnered with an international private equity business to assist them with their search for an interim financial controller to join the team in London.You will manage a small team and be responsible for a varied role that entails the monthly financial and statutory reports, in addition to looking after the MI and tax duties.A great opportunity for someone to lend their experience and become a valued member of a fantastic company. A truly hands-on and dynamic role.Key duties and responsibilities for this financial controller position include but limited to:Oversee the completion of monthly management accounts, ensuring preparation is accurate and timelyWork closely with external payroll providers to get monthly payroll finalised for both UK and US employeesReview monthly staff expenses claim submission, ensuring claims in line with company policiesResponsible for setting up any payroll related paymentsOversee the weekly cashflow monitoring process, forecasting future cash requirements, and identifying scope to optimise the funds Manage the day-to-day activities of the teamHave an oversight of the team’s workload, ensuring tasks are prioritised and deadlines are met, also providing guidance and mentoring when neededResponsible for quarterly regulatory and tax reporting requirementsOversee the annual budgeting and reforecasting process. Prepare MI pack for senior managementSupport the Tax Manager with annual tax returns and reporting for corporate entitiesResponsible for estimating and submitting quarterly tax payments Review quarterly covenant compliance Oversee the audit of the financial statements and work closely with external auditors ensuring all necessary documentation providedAd hoc projects as and when requested by senior managementExperience & QualificationsFully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 5-8 years PQEExperience of financial services sector, ideally private equityExperience of managing teamsShow a strong audit backgroundStrong communication & excel skillsAbout the businessAn international private equity organisation that has evolved over the years to become a global name in this field.The organisation has around 40 employees in the London office, and you will join a collaborative finance team. This is a hybrid opportunity, where you will be required to be in the office three days per week, to integrate with the wider finance team and gain a strong understanding of how the financial reporting operates. The working culture is highly professionalism but offers a strong social feel that creates a very enjoyable place to work. We will be looking for someone who loves to interact with others and has a proven track record in managing the financial reporting for a group.If you like to get stuck into your work and rolling up your sleeves, then this is the one for you!!Rate/SalaryThis exciting opportunity for a financial controller will pay between £110-£130k depending on industry background and experience.Interviews this week with a view to starting right away so you must be on no more than one week notice.This assignment will be for around nine to twelve months.
