Job Description

SLB Guyana is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Project Engineer to support the engineering team in executing projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD and other related engineering design/drafting software, with the ability to quickly produce, modify, and review technical drawings, layouts, and project renditions. This role demands strong technical capability, coordination skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced project environment.Engineering & DesignDevelop, revise, and finalize engineering drawings using AutoCAD and other CAD/3D design tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Revit, Inventor, SketchUp, Civil 3D, etc.).Produce detailed technical drawings, schematics, layouts, and renderings for project proposals, construction, and execution.Perform swift alterations and design adjustments based on project requirements, field feedback, or engineering updates.Review and validate drawings for accuracy, constructability, and compliance with engineering standards.Assist in developing project concepts, feasibility studies, and technical solutions.Project Execution & CoordinationSupport project planning, scheduling, and progress tracking.Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure design intent is maintained.Participate in site visits to support design validation, measurement checks, and progress verification.Assist in preparing project documentation (SOWs, BOQs, risk assessments, method statements, etc.).Quality & ComplianceEnsure all drawings and engineering designs adhere to internal specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.Maintain proper document control of drawings, revisions, and project records.Technical SupportProvide technical support during procurement, installation, and commissioning phases.Troubleshoot design discrepancies or provide engineering solutions as challenges arise.Required Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field).Minimum 3–5 years of project engineering experience in an industrial, construction, or manufacturing environment.Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D required).Experience with additional engineering/drafting software such as SolidWorks, Revit, Inventor, Civil 3D, or similar.Strong understanding of engineering drawings, technical standards, and drafting principles.Ability to interpret and create detailed drawings, layouts, schematics, and models.Strong project coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to multitask and manage tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.Preferred SkillsExperience in design for fabrication, construction, or industrial installations.Knowledge of project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, etc.).Familiarity with safety standards, QA/QC processes, and engineering best practices.Ability to create 3D visualizations or renderings for presentation and approval.Key CompetenciesDetail-oriented with strong technical accuracy.Strong teamwork and stakeholder collaboration capabilities.Self-driven with the ability to work independently.Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
