Across our core categories of Hygiene, Baby and Beauty, our trusted and well-loved brands include Carex, Cussons Baby, Sanctuary Spa and St. Tropez.Job ProfileJob Title: Additive Dispenser (Production Weigher)-D-C Department: Production – Finishing Site Location: Aba, Abia State OU/Country: Nigeria Revision number: 001 Last reviewed on:Job Purpose:Why does the job exist?To operate and control mixing activities of production processesReporting Relationships:Reports to Production Supervisor and TechnicianDimensions:Return on InvestmentCustomer SatisfactionTurn Around TimeStrategic Alliances with different institutionsResponsible for tending equipment such as mixer, weigher and conveyors to move materials through production processes.Read batch cards to determine production information and specifications.Start machine to mix materials and allowing them to mix for a specified time.Stop mixing machine when specified product qualities are obtained, and open valves to transfer mixtures.Examine materials and products visually or with hands, in order to ensure conformance to established standards.Ensure compliance to all Business Unit SOP’s and SOC’s (Standard Operating Conditions) and that all operations comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), all safety standards and provisions.Clean and maintain equipment and other housekeeping activities.Record operational and production data on specified forms.Performing other tasks and activities as could be delegated by his supervisor.Ensure investigation and correction of deviations in process behaviour. Escalate issues to get prompt attention whenever necessary.Understands roles and responsibilities and the importance of conformity with the EMS requirements.Implements and complies with EMS requirements relating to environmental aspects and impacts and other policies, procedures and/or regulations applicable to assigned jobs.Principal Accountabilities:The key outputs of the jobList in priority order, if possible, typically 8-10NOT a task listAny requirement for organizing & planning including own work and the allocation of resourcesTypical decisions made and if they are advisory or directly responsible for the outcomeTo work with the Shift supervisor continually to improve plant performance while adhering to legislative and company standards.To work closely as a team with other shift-based leaders to prioritise shift activity and deliver plant targetsMonitors Business Unit area performance through Short Interval Control; daily and weekly OEE tracker, identification of the 3 top losses and facilitate review of same.Facilitate effective problem solving through agreed Lean Manufacturing techniques and generate Containments and Counter measures.Good knowledge of how to identify areas for improvement (Process, skills, knowledge, attitude, machine etc)To work with the production manager continually to improve plant performance while adhering to legislative and company standardsTo work with the maintenance manager doing LLF and PPM to continually improve machine availabilityElimination/Reduction of downtime due to machine break downParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives.Adhere to company policies and procedures.Internal & External Relationships:Identify the most significant onesAttach a preferred suppliers list if availableDetail which networks the jobholder will be part of e.g., finance, categoryProduction Mgr., Shift Manager,Technician, Craft-men,Production WorkersEtc.KEY ATTRIBUTESOCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY (OH&S)Key Activities:To be aware of the hazards in the workplace within his control, and the control measures to reduce the risk associated with those hazards.Achieve 85% of action closure arising from monthly HSE inspection.Achieve 95% compliance with behaviour-based safety (BBS) walk around.ENVIROMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (EMS) OBJECTIVESENVIROMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (EMS) OBJECTIVESKey Activities:Understand roles and responsibilities and the importance of conformity with the EMS requirements.Implements and complies with EMS requirements relating to environmental aspects and impacts and other policies, procedures and /or regulations applicable to assigned jobs.QUALITY AND PLAN COMPLIANCE DELIVERY: GMPKey Activities:Ensure that manufacturing operation meets stipulated GMPKey Accountability:To have a good knowledge of GMP requirements and application on site in line with GMP standard (PZC GMP standard/NAFDAC requirements)QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (QMS) OBJECTIVES: (QMS)Key Accountability:To ensure the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS) and improve on the system.INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPSTo work with other staff continually to improve performance while adhering to legislative and company standards.To work closely as a team with the Line Manager and other leaders as to deliver set objectivesQualification, Knowledge, Skills & Experience Needed:List any qualifications required to do the jobBe specific about the experience neededFocus on type of experience not the time servedRequired Qualifications:NABTEB/ND/HND in Engineering Related DisciplineRequired Experience:Minimum of 1 year work experience in a similar positionSound Knowledge of Engineering PracticesSoftware KnowledgeExcellent Communication and Presentation SkillsAnalytical and Problem-Solving SkillsAbility to withstand stress and work under pressureKey BehavioursHow the PZC behaviours are demonstrated in the context of this roleBold: Fearless, Pioneering & Passionate, Open & Honest, True to oneself, Proud of what I do – being accountable & exhibit integrity in all I do.
