Finance & Accounting LeadLocation: Dubai, UAECompany: Utopia Bath & KitchenAbout the RoleUtopia Bath & Kitchen is looking for an experienced Finance & Accounting Lead to take full ownership of our accounting operations, supplier payments, import documentation, reconciliations, and month-end reporting.You will ensure our financial records are accurate, well-structured, audit-ready, and aligned with best practices. The role requires someone who is organised, detail-driven, and confident in running the finance function day-to-day.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Control & Accounting OperationsManage the full monthly closing cycle:Bank reconciliationAR/AP ageingGRN, stock, and landed cost reconciliationAccruals & provisionsFinal P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash FlowMaintain clean, accurate, and compliant accounts at all times.Review and validate entries made by admin staff; correct errors and ensure proper accounting treatment.Develop and enforce SOPs for invoicing, deposits, project billing, payments, GRNs, and cost allocation.Supplier Payments & AP ManagementPrepare and process supplier deposits, advances, and final balance payments.Maintain detailed supplier payment schedules and monitor upcoming dues.Reconcile supplier advances regularly and ensure alignment with purchase terms.Match supplier invoices with PO, PI, shipping documents, and GRNs.Prepare weekly cash-out forecasts for supplier and logistics payments.Import & Logistics DocumentationTrack all Purchase Orders, Proforma Invoices, and inbound shipments.Collect and verify shipping documentation (Invoice, Packing List, BL/AWB, COO, Insurance, etc.).Maintain shipment tracker for in-transit goods and expected landing dates.Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and warehouse teams.Assist with accurate landed cost allocation and inventory valuation.Banking & Treasury SupportPrepare bank transfer requests and process remittances.Monitor FX impacts and bank charges on payments.Maintain supplier payment calendar and perform daily bank reconciliation.ERP / Zoho Books & Inventory OwnershipMaintain, clean, and optimise Zoho Books/Inventory structure.Standardise Chart of Accounts, item codes, VAT mapping, workflows, and permissions.Ensure all financial movements are accurately reflected in the ERP.Lead continuous improvements to enhance financial accuracy and visibility.Reporting & AnalysisWeekly supplier cash-out forecast and shipment status updates.Supplier outstanding balances and advance ageing.Monthly financial reporting pack (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Payables).Import/logistics cost tracking (duties, freight, insurance, handling).Requirements5–8+ years accounting/finance experience within the UAE.Strong background in trading, imports, AP, costing, or project-based operations.Solid experience with Zoho Books / Zoho Inventory (mandatory).Strong understanding of GRN processes, landed costs, and supplier payment cycles.Proven ability to manage month-end closings and maintain audit-ready books.Excellent reconciliation, documentation, and process-management skills.Strong Excel and ERP capability.Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and compliance requirements.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.ACCA / CMA / CA Inter qualifications are an advantage.What We OfferA key role with clear ownership across finance and accounting.Competitive salary based on experience.Growth opportunity as the business expands.A stable, design-led British heritage brand with a growing GCC footprint.
