Job Description

Job SummaryThe Finance & Accounting manager at IMON Wireless Solutions Inc will oversee the full accounting cycle and ensure accuracy, compliance, and transparency in all financial processes. This role will manage a small finance team, handle day-to-day accounting    functions, prepare financial reports, and provide insights to guide decision-making. In addition, the Team Lead will support capital generation for new projects through financial planning, reporting, and liaising with banks, partners, and investors. Roles & Responsibilities:Financial Management & Reporting: Oversee the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and monthly/year-end closings. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and budgets for review by the DOO and senior leadership. Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audits, and financial reporting standards in Guyana. Monitor cash flow, expenses, and financial performance, recommending improvements where necessary. Team Leadership & Processes:  5. Lead, mentor, and supervise a finance team of 2–3, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to company policies.  6. Implement and improve financial processes, controls, and best practices to enhance transparency and accountability.  7. Manage and optimize the use of QuickBooks and other accounting systems to maintain accurate records and reports. Capital & Strategic Support:  8. Support capital generation efforts for new projects, including preparing financial models, investment proposals, and liaising with banks or external stakeholders.  9. Collaborate with operations and leadership teams to provide financial insights that guide strategic decisions.  10. Contribute to company-wide initiatives by ensuring financial sustainability, cost efficiency, and resource optimization. Qualifications:Education & Certifications (Preferred):   Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent) is an asset. Experience: 3–5 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role. Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks and financial reporting. Experience in managing audits, tax compliance, and local financial regulations in Guyana. Core Skills: Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Effective leadership and people management skills. Ability to prepare financial models and support capital-raising initiatives. Strong communication skills for presenting financial information to both technical and non-financial stakeholders.
