Our client a leader in its respective industry, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Controller to join our team in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.About the RoleReporting to the senior management, the Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. This is a critical leadership position that requires a strategic thinker with strong technical skills and proven experience operating within the PNG business landscape.ResponsibilitiesOversee all financial and accounting processes, ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements and international accounting standards.Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reports, and management accounts.Lead the annual budget preparation process and manage continuous forecasting activities.Ensure strict adherence to PNG tax laws, including Goods and Services Tax and Corporate Income Tax.Manage and mentor the local finance and accounting team.Maintain and strengthen effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.Act as a key liaison with external auditors, banks, and government agencies.QualificationsDegree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Professional certification is highly desirable.Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or in a similar senior financial role, preferably within PNG or the Pacific region.In-depth knowledge of PNG taxation and regulatory framework.Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.Pay range and compensation packageCompetitive salary package, including benefits appropriate for the Port Moresby market.
