We are seeking to hire a Treasury Analyst - Finance to join the Finance team based in Port Moresby.How will I help?We are a bank that has been around for generations, helping our customers grow and prosper with their business. We are also committed to our purpose, taking action now to create a better future, and you will help us realize that by in managing the Bank’s liquidity position, supporting balance sheet optimization, and facilitating financial & money market activities.As Treasury Analyst - Finance, your role is critical in ensuring efficient deployment of excess liquidity, proactive customer engagement, and accurate reporting to enhance decision-making across Treasury and Asset & Liability Committees.What are my key areas of focus? Balance Sheet Management: Implement investment strategies, monitor funding sources, conduct stress testing, and manage interest rate risk exposure. Liquidity & Funding: Prepare liquidity forecasts, monitor daily positions, facilitate overnight investments and Central Bank Bill placements, and manage funding plans. Customer Deposit Management: Track maturing term deposits and support pricing decisions. ALCO Reporting & Analytics: Deliver timely, high-quality ALCO packs, market insights, and risk metrics. Strategic Projects: Support treasury system improvements, ESA forecasting, and policy development. Risk Management: Monitor liquidity, market, and operational risks; ensure compliance with BPNG prudential standards and internal policies.What do I need?You will have strong knowledge of liquidity management, money market instruments, and balance sheet dynamics, with an understanding of Central Bank operations and regulatory requirements. You will be an excellent communicator with proven analytical skills and stakeholder engagement experience. Proficiency in MS Excel and financial modelling is essential, supported by a relevant degree.
