Job Description

A global professional services firm seeks a Finance Manager to join their dynamic team. The Finance Manager – Profitability & Analytics is an integral part of the firm’s global finance team. This role will be responsible for supporting firm’s pricing approval function, ensuring the financial integrity of fee arrangements while fostering strategic and profitable growth across all practice areas, while reviewing, validating, and approving fee proposals involving discounts, alternative fee arrangements (AFAs), and other non-standard terms to ensure financial soundness, consistency, and alignment with firm objectives. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.ResponsibilitiesProviding data-driven recommendations and materials to support the firm’s Pricing Approval Committee, and identifying risk trends, opportunity areas, and potential guardrails for fee flexibilityDeveloping Key Performance Indicators and reporting frameworks to track pricing approval volume, turnaround time, financial impact, and exceptions, generating monthly/quarterly insights for executive leadership to inform pricing policy and client strategyPartnering with key leadership stakeholders to develop workflows, escalation paths, and policies to ensure an efficient, responsive, and auditable approval processImproving operational excellence and create scalable solutions in partnership with cross-functional teams—including Conflicts, Technology, and Legal Project Management (LPM)—to streamline intake, approvals, documentation, and compliance trackingPartnering with Legal Project Management (LPM) and Finance to conduct retrospectives on engagements that involved discounted or non-standard pricing, identifying lessons learned and feedback loops to improve future decision-makingProtecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that firm retainsQualificationsA Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in economics, finance, business administration, or related field, preferably an MBAA minimum of seven (7) years’ analytical experience in finance or related professional services environmentA minimum of two (2) years’ leading projects and other initiatives, preferablyPrevious experience in a customer-focused position, preferablyPrevious experience in running revenue-related programs, preferablyDemonstrate knowledge of various information technology systems, including knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Business ObjectsExhibit strong knowledge of market research resources and financial reportingPossess excellent financial modeling skills and project management skillsBenefitsHealthcare, life and disability insuranceA generous 401k planAt least 11 paid holidays per year, and a PTO program that accrues 23 days during the first year of employment and grows with tenureWell-being programs (e.g. mental health services, mindfulness and resiliency, medical resources, well-being events, and more)Professional development programsEmployee discountsAffinity groups, networks, and coalitions for lawyers and staffMany of our job openings can be viewed at https://jobs.crelate.com/portal/consultativesg
