It will also advance Indonesia’s reputation as an appealing international education destination.The Deakin University Lancaster University Indonesia campus will open to students in September 2025, initially offering five dual degree undergraduate programs in the areas of Business and Information Technology. The dual degree programs combine subjects from undergraduate programs at both universities, enabling students to achieve two individual degree qualifications (two testamurs) in just three years of undergraduate study. The campus will also offer a one-year preparatory program as direct pathway to the three-year undergraduate programs.The Indonesia campus is located in Bandung, West Java, which is recognised as an important and vibrant location for higher education in Indonesia. Students and teachers will be part of a thriving education community attracting diverse student cohorts from across Indonesia and globally. The Campus that has been created is a state-of-the-art teaching and learning environment.Job DescriptionA major focus of this role is to maintain proper accounting records for Deakin University Lancaster University Indonesia (Bandung) (DLI) across all of the General ledger including accounts receivable, banking and accounts payable.The role will be responsible for ensuring that accounts receivable, accounts payable and bank accounts are reconciled on a timely basis and to manage all student finance responsibilities of the Campus.The role will be campus based in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia.Key Relationships Navitas Senior and key staff:COO, Deakin University Lancaster University IndonesiaFinancial Controller APACSenior Financial Accountant APACKey stakeholders from Navitas UPA shared services – e.g. marketing, IT, FinanceKey stakeholders, within the campus operation including the Academic Manager, Director Student Recruitment among other campus staffDLI Campus Partner External StakeholdersBanksStudentsAgentsSuppliersTax ConsultantsGovernment and Regulatory AuthoritiesKEY RESULT AREASRevenue/DebtorsProcessing of general and student receivables into the student management system, including receipting of payments, refunds and monitoring returned payments and unidentified receipts.Invoice students and both internal and external debtors.Follow up debts regularly and report back monthly including recommendation of the level of bad debt provision.Produce a month end TB for Debtors, review and reconcile the Debtor GL monthlyPrepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations ensuring that reconciliations are properly prepared and reconciling items are promptly resolved and cleared in a timely mannerOther duties and responsibilities as requiredFinance Banking/CashReconcile all Nominated Bank accounts on a daily basis.Process refunds in line with the refunds approval process and action associated adjustments to the student management system.Maintain Cash at bank spreadsheet or similar report on a daily basis.Manage inbox enquiries and action accordingly.Expense/CreditorsManage end to end accounts payable processExpense processing (cash reimbursement and corporate credit cards).Handle supplier queries and resolve invoice and expense reports issue.Manual payment process, direct debit clearing, and agent commissions.Month end AP close activities including control account reconciliationReceive goods or services physically and through i-Procurement.Operational Support to wider objectives and activities of the campusQualificationsEssential Skills, Knowledge, and ExperienceFluent in verbal and written English and Bahasa IndonesiaBachelor degree in Accounting and/or related areasPrevious experience in a Finance roleStrong Excel skills and good analytical skillsTeam player, good communication and interpersonal skillsGood time management skills and ability to work independentlyDesirable:Relevant educational industry experience, particularly with the tertiary sectorUser knowledge of OracleKnowledge of financial compliance, regulatory requirements, and Accounting standards in IndonesiaAdditional InformationHow to applyApplicants are assessed upon receipt, so you are encouraged to apply now.
