Finance Specialist - Operational

Making it safer, cleaner and more efficient for people and the planet.Fuel your passionBaker Hughes is currently hiring a Lease Accounting Analyst based in Houston, Texas.As a Lease Accounting Analyst, you will be responsible for:Monthly/quarterly close procedures such as preparing and entering journal entries and reporting financial results in regard to leases including account reconciliations.Compliance with new leasing standards.Initiating lease abstractions and ensuring they are processed completely, accurately and timely on any new leases and changes to existing leases.Preparation and analysis of accurate financial statements and disclosures based on actual results. Consolidate, analyze and report financials in compliance with reporting regulations.Advising functional managers regarding projects, processes and procedures in their own field.Handling communication with direct colleagues and business inquiries.Contributing to projects as a team member or leads small projects.Performing special projects as required.To be successful in this role you will:A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related disciplineMinimum of 4 years of experience in FinanceMinimum of 3 years of experience in Financial ReportingHave experience with ERP systems - SAP and/or OracleHave advanced experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)Desired CharacteristicsExperience with Lease Accounting preferredExperience with Nakisa preferredStrong English communication skills are requiredStrong interpersonal and leadership skills.Ability to influence others and lead small teams.Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.Effective problem identification and solution skills.Proven analytical and organizational ability.Work in a way that works for youWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
