Top oil has a vacancy for a Finance Assistant on a fixed term contract (9 - 12 months) in our Company owned service stations Finance Department. This role is based in our Head Office Top Oil, Block P1 EastPoint Business Park, Dublin 3. Reports to: Financial Controller Main Purpose of Job: The person will be a key member of the Finance Function, working with the Financial Controller and assisting in the day to day operations of the finance department. This role is ideal for a candidate looking to develop into a Finance role. Main Duties/Responsibilities: Responsible for a number of key accounting processes and the reconciliation of related control accounts.Maintain Creditors ledger including booking invoices and allocating payments.Reconciliation of Creditor balances.Perform daily data import process and ensure issues are resolved.Build strong working relationships with suppliers and staff to ensure issues and queries are resolved.Assist with the month end close process (balance sheet and profit and loss).Assist with the year end audit.Other finance duties and tasks as required by the Financial Controller.Qualifications and Experience Required A minimum of 3 years experience working in a similar role in a finance department. An ability to multitask whilst prioritising deadlines.Excellent organisational, analytical and time management skills.The candidate will have excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills.Numerate with good PC (MS Excel, Word) skills.Third level Finance qualification or equivalent - IATI, partly qualified ACCA/CIMA.Previous experience using JD Edwards an advantage.Strong communication skills (verbal & written).Top Oil supports a diverse and inclusive work environment and welcomes applications from all qualified applicants.
