Job Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Bowring Marsh. This role will be based in Hamilton, Bermuda. This position is on-site on a full-time basis.The Broker is responsible for the daily service of a portfolio of major US-based clients within the FINPRO & Cyber division. The Broker provides service & advice associated with placements made or delivered to clients and is involved in negotiations with the Bermuda markets to obtain the best terms, conditions, coverage, and pricing for a clientWe will count on you to:Handle placements of Directors & Officers Liability (D&O), Employment Practices Liability (EPL), Errors & Omissions/Professional Liability (E&O/BPL), Fiduciary, Wage and Hour (W&H), Cyber and related insurance programs into the Bermuda market for major US clientsUnderstand client needs, including assessing & developing solutions to complex risk situationsIdentify and develop new sources of businessStrategize and coordinate with other Marsh offices globally Analyze client exposures and prepare high-quality submissions to provide to underwritersBenchmark and analyze data to assist with new salesManage policy review and delivery to clientsWork as an experienced member of a team and act as a role model for junior colleaguesOperate with a high degree of personal responsibility and accountabilityKeep abreast of changing risk and insurance market conditionsHandle face-to-face negotiations and present and/or take on public speaking roles, as requiredPerform other job-related duties, as requiredWhat you need to have:5+ years’ FINPRO and/or Cyber insurance broking experience in Bermuda or the International insurance marketProficiency with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OutlookProven experience to independently handle complex client assignments operating with a high degree of personal responsibility and accountability Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload and manage such during busy periodsA willingness and ability to work beyond normal office hours to meet tight deadlinesSuperior technical, financial, and interpersonal skills, specifically regarding written and verbal communication and presentationAn understanding of negotiating techniques & ability to apply these in discussions with insurers and clientsAwareness of current market conditionsA high level of technical expertise in the various FINPRO policy formsWhat makes you stand out:Bachelor’s degree (or significant industry experience in lieu)Relevant industry qualificationsHigh sense of personal accountabilitySelf-motivation and ability to work on their own initiativeKnowledge of competitors & Marsh's competitive advantagesWhy join our team:We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have an impact on colleagues, clients and communities.Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being.Marsh, a business of Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MMC), is the world’s top insurance broker and risk advisor.
