About The RoleAn opportunity awaits for Full Time Food and Beverage Supervisor at our restaurant.Ideally, you will have experience in a similar role, a passion for exceeding our diners expectations and great knowledge of food and beverages. We are looking for someone who is passionate and has the enthusiasm that will inspire a team of restaurant and beverage superstars.This is a hands on role which requires leadership skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure whilst leading a busy restaurant and bar team to ensure exceptional service.The successful candidate will have experience as a Supervisor or ready to take that next step with three years or more of food and beverage experience. You will be familiar with Sale of Liquor responsibilities. The pay rate is $28.50 per hour with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week.In this role you will:Delegate tasks to restaurant staff and supervise their performanceMaintain a fully-stocked inventory and order food supplies, as neededManage dining reservationsHelp staff resolve on-the-job challengesTrack daily costs and revenuesBalance the cash register at the end of the shiftCoordinate with suppliers as they deliver food product ordersEnsure client satisfaction and gracefully handle any complaintsOpen or close the restaurant (when responsible for the first or last shift)Report maintenance and training needRequirements2-3 years experience in F&B servicePrevious Supervisor experience preferredNZQF Level 2 or 3 qualification (ANZSCO Skill Level 4)At least one year of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed aboveExcellent CommunicatorUnderstanding of Sale of Liquor ActExudes attentive, friendly and professional serviceExcellent wine, beer and cocktail knowledgeHighly organised and plans aheadCan work on a rotating roster 7 days a week, comfortable working early mornings (5.30am start)Candidates must already have the legal right to work in New Zealand to be considered for the roleBenefitsHe kura te tangata - We are all valued As an Employer of Choice, we offer great employee benefits like life insurance, outstanding health and wellbeing programmes and discounts on hotels, restaurants, bars and spas across our network - not just for you, but in some cases your friends and family too!Fantastic employee discounts at our hotels, restaurants and spas across New ZealandKaikōura has an attractive work life balance, with close proximity to the sea and marine activities.
