Founding Engineer / CTO (Hands-on) Location: Ireland onlyType: Full-time | Founding Team About Us We’re an early-stage healthtech startup rethinking pharmacy workflows across the healthcare system. Today, pharmacy operations are burdened by fragmented systems, manual processes, and data blind spots — driving waste, risk, and cost. Our platform consolidates these disconnected tools into one intelligent system. We’ve validated the market with healthcare leaders and are now building our MVP. The Role We’re looking for a hands-on founding engineer  to own the technical build of our product from the ground up. You’ll be the architect, builder, and technical brain behind our MVP — taking customer feedback directly and rapidly iterating to product-market fit. Opportunity to grow into a management role. It’s a build-first, leadership-later opportunity for someone who thrives in startup chaos, wants deep product ownership, and is excited by the idea of scaling something meaningful from zero. What You’ll Do Design and build our core web platform and backend architecture (from MVP through early scale). Make key technical decisions around stack, infrastructure, and integrations. Develop secure, scalable APIs and front-end interfaces for healthcare workflows. Work directly with users (community and hospital pharmacists) to turn real pain points into elegant, reliable software. Implement automation, data visibility, and AI-driven features over time. Set up the foundation for clean code, CI/CD, and early devops. Partner closely with the CEO and CCO on product strategy, roadmap, and technical milestones. What We’re Looking For Must-Have: 15+ years of software engineering experience, with strong full-stack skills (Node.js, Python, or TypeScript on backend; React or similar on frontend). Previous experience in an early-stage startup or small founding team. Proven ability to build and ship production-grade software independently. Solid experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure). A genuine interest in solving real problems in healthcare.Be comfortable with the risk and uncertainity of start up lifeHands-on, solutions-oriented self-starter; able to thrive in ambiguous environments and think innovatively.Interested in driving change, adoption, and scaling a business from scratchAbility to lead, connect, fundraise, and deliver a product to marketPassionate about using technology to address an identified problemGrit, integrity, determination, commitment, humility, and resilienceNice-to-Have: Experience working in a senior leadership role is a plusExperience integrating with healthcare systems (FHIR, HL7, EPS, or similar). Knowledge of medicationsExposure to data pipelines, automation, or AI-driven analytics. Understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance (GDPR, ISO 27001). Why Join Us Mission: Help support pharmacy workflows and medication shortages at an international scale. Ownership: Equity and technical autonomy. Impact: Build a real product from scratch with users who care deeply about it. Growth: Founding-level influence on technology, product, and company direction.
