Do you want to take the next step in your career and help build a high-performance Quality Department for a world-renowned fast fashion brand?For our Quality Control team in Lelystad, we are looking for a Garment Quality Team Leader to jointly lead a team of 10 specialists, together with another experienced team leader. What you do on a typical dayAs a Garment Quality Team Leader, you ensure that all garment quality standards of our global fashion client are consistently met. You will coordinate daily activities, support your team, and keep direct continuous communication with the buyers and quality team located at the brand’s headquarters.Your tasks will include:Team Leadership & CoordinationCo-lead a team of approximately 10 Quality Controllers together with another team leaderPlan, coordinate, and follow up on daily quality activities and workloadTrain, mentor, and evaluate team members to ensure high performance and skill developmentPromote a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset within the departmentQuality Control & Technical TasksOversee and participate in garment checks, including inspection of reworks (ironing, steaming)Validate tests and ensure all products meet the brand’s quality standards before distributionEvaluate and select optimal ironing and finishing methods, reporting quality incidentsManage quality incidents and coordinate with the Client quality/buying team to resolve issuesReview samples, define parameters, and communicate specifications with workshopsConfirm garment finish, measurements, and compliance with technical requirementsProvide training on new finishes, quality standards, and updated parametersControl incoming goods using internal tools and digital applicationsCommunication With HeadquartersMaintain tight, structured communication with the buyers and quality teams at HQReport issues, follow up on incidents, and align on quality expectations and improvementAct as the main point of contact for technical quality discussions and daily updatesWhat we expect from youExperience & KnowledgeStrong professional background in garment quality control, garment construction, and finishingExperience in team leadership, ideally in a fast-paced or fashion-related environmentKnowledge of industrial ironing processes, garment treatments, and textile handling is desirable although training is providedSkills & CompetenciesFluent in both English and Spanish (spoken and written)Excellent communication and coordination skills, especially with international teamsStrong analytical mindset with the ability to identify issues and define corrective actionsHigh level of responsibility, accuracy, and professional critical judgmentProactive, self-driven, and results-oriented mindsetGood command of Microsoft Office, especially ExcelOther RequirementsAvailability of working in shifts, Monday to FridayEU driving licenseWhat we offerA role with significant responsibility, variety, and daily challenges—no day is the sameA dynamic and growing organization where your input and ideas truly matterA motivated team with strong ambitions for continuous improvementA positive and engaging work atmosphere at site and within your departmentCompetitive salary and opportunities for long-term development within GXOYour work environmentWorking at GXO Logistics means being part of a dynamic international company with room for personal development and growth.
