With a strong reputation for providing both technical and commercial expertise, we support clients from the earliest stages of project development through to delivery, assurance, and close-out. Role OverviewWe are looking for a Graduate Site Engineer working on major infrastructure projects. you will support the planning, design, and delivery of infrastructure projects that enhance the city’s transport network, public spaces, and utility services. Working under the supervision of senior engineers, you will contribute to the successful execution of projects through technical, on-site, and administrative support.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the supervision of construction and maintenance works on roads, drainage, footpaths, cycleways, bridges, and other municipal infrastructure.Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety standards.Conduct site inspections, surveys, and quality control checks.Support contractor coordination and ensure adherence to environmental and traffic management plans.Prepare and review technical drawings, schedules, and as-built records.Assist in setting out works using surveying instruments and GPS equipment.Contribute to the preparation of design reports, method statements, and risk assessments.Support the use of BIM, AutoCAD, and GIS systems in project delivery.Promote and ensure compliance with Dublin City Council’s Health & Safety Management System.Conduct toolbox talks, safety audits, and environmental checks as required.Report and document any incidents or non-conformances promptly.Maintain accurate records of site activities, materials, and progress.Assist with project documentation including site diaries, progress reports, and cost tracking.Liaise with consultants, contractors, and other Council departments to ensure timely project delivery.Participate in project meetings and contribute to issue resolution and planning updates.Desired Skills and AttributesStrong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction methods.Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and relevant engineering software.Awareness of health, safety, and environmental standards in civil works.
