Job Description Prepared by: Yunfei ShaDate1st Oct. 2025Job Title Sales GM and Senior Business Representative GM UnitCluster APACDepartment Reporting to position (title): VP MA C&NEA # of direct reports: 5-7 Total # of subordinates (all levels): ~170 Location: Multiple Domestic (D), Regional (R) Or Global (G) D Budget and Authorities (Please list decisions that the position can make independently, if any ): Decides on sales opportunities to pursue and accompanying strategies Authorities assigned as per the DOA Decisions on hiring and where applicable separations in consultation with HR and Senior Management Cost responsible for the team Play the role of Cluster m anagement team member and China Business Representative Main Purpose Of The Job (max 5) To lead DeLaval’s sales organization in Greater China by developing and executing commercial strategies that strengthen the company’s market leadership and profitability. The role is responsible for driving sales growth, optimizing organizational performance, and ensuring alignment with DeLaval’s overall business objectives. The General Manager will also play a key role in building a capable, motivated, and compliant sales and service organization that operates with a “One DeLaval” spirit. Primary responsibilities:* Strategic Leadership Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies to achieve business goals and enhance DeLaval’s commercial presence in Greater China. Build strong partnerships with the dealer network and maintain close relationships with key accounts, industry stakeholders, and strategic partners. Business Development Manage and expand DeLaval’s dealer network, key customer base, and other industry connections to maximize business value. Identify new business opportunities and develop new channels to support sustainable growth. Organizational Excellence Design and maintain a high-performing sales organization with clear structure, performance metrics, and accountability. Drive operational efficiency, innovation, and continuous improvement across the sales and service functions. Team Development & Capability Building Coach and develop the sales and service teams to ensure strong technical and commercial competencies in DeLaval’s products, solutions, and industry practices. Strengthen leadership and management skills within the team to achieve sales, profit, cash flow, and cost control targets. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Project execution, Marketing, MDSS, and Customer Service teams to increase DeLaval’s brand recognition and customer engagement in Greater China. Oversee the annual marketing plan, ensuring promotional and training initiatives are effectively executed. Culture, Integrity & Compliance Foster a culture of high integrity, compliance, and collaboration across the organization, promoting the “One DeLaval” mindset in all actions and decisions. Strategic Contribution Contribute to cluster and corporate-level business strategy development, providing market insights and recommendations from a Greater China perspective. Representation & External Relations Represent DeLaval at key industry events and forums, lead negotiations, and build long-term partnerships that enhance the company’s strategic positioning in the region. EducationMin required, for exampleComprehensive school, High School, Technical Diploma,Bachelor’s DegreeMaster’s Degree etc. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in technical, agricultural, veterinary, chemistry, mechanical or other relevant area for the product rang e Minimum No of years of experience required for external candidates 15 + years successful sales and commercial managerial experience (preferably technical sales) Experience in the agricultural machinery and /or husbandry industry is strongly preferred Min. Managerial Experience Or Specific Skills Required Fluent English writing and speaking 10 + years of supervisory/management role of a team of teams is required Has broad knowledge and perspective; is future oriented; can anticipate future consequences and trends accurately; can create competitive and breakthrough strategies and plans. Strong communication skill to build constructive and effective relationships; can diffuse even high tension situations comfortably. Brave and have strategy to face people problems and able to take tough action when necessary. Blends people into teams when needed, creates strong morale and spirit in the team Can effectively cope with change; can shift gears comfortably; can decide and act comfortably under risk and uncertainty.
