Hiring: Head of Infrastructure — Fintech / Risk / Identity VC Backed StartupWe’re an established, fast-growing company solving critical problems in digital identity, fraud prevention, and financial risk.The business is well-funded, profitable, and powers several major financial institutions.We’re hiring a Head of Infrastructure to lead the strategy, reliability, and scalability of our core production systems.Role OverviewYou’ll own the infrastructure vision end-to-end: architecture, cloud strategy, scalability, reliability, cost management, and security posture. You’ll lead a small, high-performing team and work directly with engineering, data, and product leadership.You’ll be responsible for:Defining infrastructure strategy across cloud, compute, storage, and networkingEnsuring reliability and uptime for mission-critical, high-sensitivity systemsScaling platforms processing large volumes of identity and transaction dataBuilding strong observability, incident management, and reliability practicesManaging cloud spend and infrastructure efficiencyPartnering with security and compliance teams on risk and controlsLeading and mentoring infra/SRE engineersDriving automation and reducing operational burdenRequirements8–12+ years in infrastructure, SRE, platform engineering, or cloud architectureLeadership experience managing infra/SRE teamsDeep experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) and modern infra toolingStrong understanding of networking, security baselines, and distributed systemsComfort operating systems with high availability and strict SLAsTrack record of scaling production systems under high loadStrong communication and ability to influence technical directionNice to have: fintech or compliance-heavy environments, data pipelines, Kubernetes, Terraform, service mesh, incident response leadership.Why JoinStrategic leadership role with company-wide impactHigh-ownership environment with strong engineering peersMission-focused work improving digital trust and safetyCompetitive compensation + meaningful equityHybrid or remote, depending on location
