Head of Software Development / Tech Lead

Remote: open to hybrid work (1–2 days per week from the Warsaw office)Salary: compensation to be determined based on expectations and experienceWho are we looking for?An experienced, confident, and highly communicative Head of Software Development / Tech Lead who will take full ownership of delivering software development. You will collaborate closely with the Head of Product, CTO, and Infrastructure Lead, acting as the key technology counterpart responsible for commissioning development work and accepting deliverables from internal and external providers. Experienced leader who can navigate complexity, influence stakeholders, and ensure delivery without direct line management at the start. Someone who combines structured thinking, strong communication, and technical understanding. In the future, the role may expand to include direct team leadership.The Platform Leverages Modern, Scalable Technologies, IncludingJava, Spring, JPA, PostgreSQL, React, Next.js, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Key ResponsibilitiesCommission and validate development delivered in a fixed-price project modelCooperate closely with the Head of Product, CTO, and Infrastructure LeadServe as the primary point of contact for development providersEnsure clarity of requirements, prioritization, delivery timelines, and acceptance criteriaMaintain high communication standards across business and technology areasOversee the entire development lifecycle and ensure quality of delivered workPotentially grow and lead a team in the futureRequirementsMinimum 5–7 years of leading teams, preferably experience as a Head / DirectorProven work with both internal and external stakeholdersLeadership presence, confident in leading meetings and taking initiativeSoftware development background - we do not expect deep, low-level Java coding expertise.
