HEAD OF SUPPLY CHAIN PLANNINGSupply ChainAccountable for Supply chain best practice as well as the end-to-end S&OP process through integrating various functional activities and ensuring adherence to an operational framework of policies and procedures in order to optimise service delivery. This role will work with various related variables, spanning across different functional areas and require an understanding of organisational processes, procedures, standards and controls.Job PurposeThe purpose of the role is to ensure that The Beverage Company's Customer Service, Volume, Market Share and Working Capital aspirations are realised through accurate Demand and Supply Planning, enabling the Company to accurately satisfy Customers brand, flavour and pack demands while managing Working Capital by synchronising the supply chain.Key Accountabilities And OutputsLead Demand Planning and Sales Forecasting ActivitiesDesign and generate accurate statistical forecasting modelsConduct current and future forecasting analysisEnsure that processes and methods followed are based on the best practiceGenerate annual volume forecasts (for each trading day) at SKU level for Plants and Distribution centresLead the End-to-End Sales and Operational Planning ProcessEnsure that a seamless end-to-end S&OP process with standards and controls are in place to optimise S&OP across the businessOversee end-to-end S&OP, in conjunction with Regional Logistics and Regional Operations Managers to guarantee order fulfilment in line with customer requirements, cost, quality and time parametersOversee Inventory ManagementIdentify demand forecast risks and develop effective mitigation plansControl inventory targets in order to ensure the right coverage and avoid lost sales or over stock situationsMake recommendations of inventory target adjustments based on changes in demand and market trendsOversee Production Planning & Materials PlanningDevelop Operating and Tactical plans in conjunction with Regional Operations Managers to optimise Packaging linesDefine and setup daily Packaging planEffectively manage variances in packaging planEngagement with key stakeholders regarding materials planning, including the requirement for imported Pepsi kitsGeneral Business, Financial and People ManagementActively participate in strategic planning and budgeting processesDrive continuous improvement through streamlining and optimising relevant operational practices, processes and systemsEnsure adherence to operational and financial frameworks of practices, processes, standards and controlsManage cost drivers and take the necessary action to mitigate financial risk and address variances and discrepanciesEnsure that the right people capacity is in place and manage employee performance through effective and goal directed people leadershipQualifications And ExperienceBachelors Degree (3 years) / NQF level 7 (Essential)Up to 8 years experience (Leadership)Excel AdvancedSAPKey QualitiesCommunicationWritten proposals or presentations aimed at changing practices within or across business units or selling a product or service to external clientsProblem SolvingProactive identification of interconnected functional problems, determine impact, patterns and trends, identify best fit alternatives, best practice solutions and anticipate future problems.
