Whether you are trying to relax on a villa by the water, or zip line 90 feet up throughout the island, opportunity for fun and enjoyment is available everywhere you look.Essential FunctionsAssists in repairs as directed by Technical Facility Manager.Report unresolved issues immediately to Technical Facility Manager if additional assistance is required.Keep workshop clean and tools organized.Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustment.Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilitiesComply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.Dismantle machines, equipment, or devicesOrder parts, supplies, or equipment from catalogs or suppliers.Work in good cooperation with other Island staff, technical team members, to solve issues quickly and professionally.Responsible to perform repairs as well as maintenance jobs according to Infoship for machinery, vehicles and assigned equipment.Performs other related duties as assigned or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.Must be familiar with the Safety and Environmental Protection Policy and the SEMS, and carry out the policies and procedures appropriate for his/her position.DIMENSIONSMust follow instructions given by Technical Facility Manager and Upper management report any faults or defective equipment immediately.Supports Island operation, maintenance and repairs Facility General Mechanic reports directly to the Technical Facility Manager. All island positions require repetitive motion of bending, climbing, going up and down stairs and lifting more than 25 pounds. This job requires specific vision abilities to include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.All team members must be physically able to participate in emergency lifesaving procedures and drills. All island positions require full use and range of arms and legs as well as full visual, verbal and hearing abilities to receive and give instructions in the event of an emergency. Work within different temperature changes—indoors to outdoors.Able to pass basic safety course.This is a minimal description of duties.
